Alternatives to Coinbase for Canadians?

It seems coinbase no longer accepts debit cards for crypto purchases, at least in Canada.

[Question][Newbie] What is the best way to exchange Bitcoin to CAD and transfer it to an RBC bank account?

Hi all,
I am new to the cryptocurrency world. I am wondering what would be the best way to exchange Bitcoin to CAD and had it transferred to an RBC bank account?
So, for example, if using an exchange company, I am looking for ones with the least exchange fee and bank/processing fee combined.

Investigative report into QuadrigaCX is now out

The ontario securities commission (which plays a similar role to the SEC in the US), has publicly released the results of their investigation into the collapse of QuadrigaCX. Of note:
" Staff determined that Quadriga collapsed due to a fraud committed by Cotten. Cotten opened accounts under aliases and credited himself with fictitious currency and crypto asset balances, which he traded with unsuspecting Quadriga clients. Cotten sustained real losses when the price of crypto assets changed, thereby creating a shortfall in assets available to satisfy client withdrawals. Cotten covered this shortfall with other clients’ deposits – in effect, operating a Ponzi scheme. Staff calculated that the bulk of the $169 million in client losses – approximately $115 million – arose from Cotten’s fraudulent trading. "

" Staff also determined that Cotten misappropriated millions in client assets to fund his lavish lifestyle.
OSC Staff would likely have pursued an enforcement action against Cotten and Quadriga. However, this is not practical given that Cotten is deceased and Quadriga is bankrupt, with its assets subject to a court-supervised distribution process."

The full report, and the press disclosure is in the link below: https://www.osc.gov.on.ca/en/NewsEvents_nr_20200611_osc-publishes-investigative-report-quadrigacx.htm

Another link, more user friendly, still an official osc link: https://www.osc.gov.on.ca/quadrigacxreport/

Free pizza oven

I've been hearing a lot of pizza-related jibber jabber, so I've decided we're going to give away this pizza oven: https://www.amazon.ca/Hamilton-Beach-31700-Pizza-Makedp/B00F2FVBWO/
Whoever writes the best Newton-themed haiku in a comment, as determined solely by me, will receive this oven.
Commence.
EDIT: The competition is now closed! Thanks to all who participated - we're actually giving away two ovens and some cookies because there were so many good responses.

Thoughts on NDAX?

I've just recently discovered NDAX and I'm wondering if it's worth it to use them. I am looking for somewhat advanced trading features where I can see the order book so I can trade back and forth from positions. I would love to hear your experience with them to gain some more insight about whether they are a good exchange for me to use.

Zero KYC in Canada?

Other than mining and ATMs, from a privacy perspective what options are there to acquire crypto without going through an exchange that requires KYC (e.g. Shakepay, Newton, etc.)? Even Bull Bitcoin requires banking personal information as well, correct? Kraken? I worry about our right as Canadians to self-custody our coins with the impending socialist regulators looking to get their cut of our pie.

How are you supposed to buy / sell without losing profits?

I'm new to crypto, but familiar with stocks.
I'm cruising around to buy bitcoin and the ask / sell price is about 0.5% + / - the stock value it seems.
So just like stocks I want to buy bitcoins at the current market value, but no matter what limit I set to, I cannot buy anything unless I'm bidding at the ask price which automatically makes me lose money because it's higher than the market value. I set buy limits for an hour that is hovering just around the market value and I don't get any buys.
This whole thing is going to turn me off if I have to eat a 0.5% - 1.0% loss upfront which is a lot of money when I'm buying multiple bitcoins.

What's the best Canadian crypto exchange to use in April 2020?

I am curious about crypto and I want to buy a few hundred dollars worth for the luls.
I was wondering if there is a consensus on the best and most popular bitcoin exchanges available to Canadians right now?
I looked up some older posts and names like Shakepay and Bitcanuck are mentioned, and of course you have the international big boys like Binance/Coinbase. But all these posts are at least a year old so I'm curious if there have been any changes in this market.

Canadian BTC Exchanges

Looking to dip my toes into some crypto-coins from Canadian Exchanges and am having difficulty finding current reviews of the exchanges I'm considering the following and looking to make smallish trades with a few exchanges to see what I can do in 6-12 months while I learn the ropes. Seems tho that any reviews I can find on most of these are a year or more and hard to see what is legit vs bluffery.
The "predatory exchange checklist" sub has been helpful, for some in narrowing things down for me - hoping the hive-mind can give me some last-minute pointers.
https://www.reddit.com/BitcoinCA/comments/getkpf/psa_predatory_exchange_checklist/
I'm thinking of starting off with Ethereum, Stellar, Ripple or even Bitcoin Cash to start exploring. I have my own off-line wallet and am hoping to diversify a bit in the process.
For exchanges, I'm leaning towards Coinsmart or Newton but would appreciate any advice (good or bad) to help steer me in the right direction if at all possible. I'm ok with a bit of a leap of faith in my first foray as I'll be limiting my exposure, and try to make sure my risks are educated wherever possible.

Crypto withdrawal fee?

So I invested in litecoin way back though NDAX and there was a small fee (around $2) to purchase the crypto currency. I didn't mind this and thought it was pretty standard, and bought $400 worth through NDAX.
Then when I tried to withdraw it at a later date, I found out I had to pay $20 to withdrawal my funds, which completely eliminates the point in investing in crypto currency for me with such a heavy tax/fee.
Is this standard? Is there a way to avoid this? With the crashing market I wanted to invest again, but if this fee is standard im not sure why anyone would want to invest in crypto.
My friend just recommended coinbase to me, but he's actually not sure if there's a fee as well since he hasn't withdrawn yet.
